We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past; however, this time was a complete disaster. We can deal with employees at the desk JUST DOING THEIR JOB WITH NO SMILE OR INTEREST IN THE CUSTOMER AND WITHOUT OFFERING ANY HELPFUL INFORMATION WITHOUT BEING QUESTIONED. We cannot, however, deal with the following mistakes and negligence that we experienced this time: 1) The night clerk did schedule us for the early morning shuttle--but only one of us! Did she think I was leaving my wife behind when I scheduled it? The morning clerk had to call to add my wife; fortunately, they had room. Otherwise, we would not have made our flight. 2) We asked the night clerk for a wake-up call at 3:30 a.m. We never got one. Fortunately, I also set my cell phone alarm. 3) Despite advertising free continental breakfast, we have never even had a cup of coffee when taking the first early flight. Coffee really is a no-brainer. 4) When questioning about the advertised shuttle back to hotel (ending at 1 a.m.), we were told by shuttle service they ran 24 hrs. to all hotels. Therefore, upon return to Pittsburgh, we called at 1:25 a.m., and hotel clerk said Hotel Express shuttle would be at Gate 8 shortly. We waited with probably 40 other people who had arrived from same flight. They were picked up by various shuttle services. Finally, Hotel Express showed up (in fact two shuttles), and we were told by drivers they couldn't take us to Econolodge because they didn't pick up after 1:00--despite the clerk telling us to wait. They picked up all of Charlie Brown's passengers who were left at Gate 8. Despite the time, despite the cold, despite the fact that we are over 70 yrs. old, we were left alone with no transportation. We called Econolodge clerk and questioned him as to why he told us the shuttle would be there, and we had been waiting for it over 30 min. and then were denied transportation. He said he was new and didn't know (where's the training Econolodge???). He told us to call a taxi, but that Econolodge would not pay for it. Upon hanging up cold, tired, angry, frustrated, and alone at 2:15 a.m., one compassionate Shuttle Express driver who had picked up passengers earlier and knew our dilemma pulled up to the curb and stated he would take us even though he was not required to do so. THIS IS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH A HOTEL WE HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED; EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW HOW POOR ECONOLODGE TREATS THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE BOOK WITH ECONOLODGE!

There was some remodeling going on so there was a bit of noise but that was understandable. My room was on a floor that was remodeled and it was very nicely done. The staff was below par. The check in clerk did not put my departure shuttle request on the schedule. He gave me a business card with the hotel # to call upon return for the shuttle back. I called and the lady gave me a run around because my name was not on the schedule and had a hard time finding my name as a guest. After telling her to look in the parking lot for my car with the parking sticker on the dash she found my name and requested the shuttle. The actual shuttle service was very good so I have no complaint with that service. The check in clerk started the problems and the lady on the return side made me feel like I was trying to get a free ride instead of solving a problem. My daughter and family stayed at a different hotel and everything went smoothly so I will no doubt not stay here again.

Hotel should have early breakfast for those leaving on early flights. Early flights are why most people do parksleepfly. I will use another hotel next time

Econolodge had sink drain issues ...so they switched us to another room...we could not sleep well the night before we left because heat would not turn down...so we had o turn it off for periods of time..

Hotel, service and room was fine but there is a rolled over pick up truck parked in the back where we were told to park and it has all the windows and windshield blown out and is really an eyesore. It is not an appropriate place to leave a totalled vehicle.
